YouTube Posts List of UK's Most Watched Ads for 2011

by - source: Google UK

YouTube is a great tool for sharing movies and videos that you've created yourself, but big corporations have also realised the value of a viral video. Check out the top viral ads for 2011.

Google UK this week published YouTube's list of the UK's most watched viral ads of 2011. Screeching in at number one is a video commemorating one of the UK's most talked about days in 2011 -- the Royal Wedding. The T-Mobile Royal Wedding Entrance Dance was first posted on April 15 of this year, about two weeks before the Royal Wedding itself. It's since managed to rack up almost 25 million views on YouTube.

Number two is the story of Jamal Edwards, a 15-year-old from Britain that started SBTV, the UK's biggest youth media channel. Having received a video camera for his 15th birthday, Jamal started shooting freestyle rap videos and posting them to YouTube. The Chrome advertisement below shows how he went from teen with a camera to a 20-year-old entrepreneur with his own Sony RMC label.

Third place was snagged by a very short Asos advert that shows young, hip guys dancing against in an urban setting.
