YouTube Reveals UK's Most Watched Videos of 2011
We've already seen the top 10 viral advertising videos for the year but this list from YouTube UK is a compilation of the UK's most watched clips for 2011.
Google has released the United Kingdom's most watched YouTube videos for the year and the results may surprise you. Occupying the number one spot is a clip featuring a talking dog. Dubbed 'The Ultimate Dog Tease,' the video features a dog and a human voice-over talking about the joys of steak, meat drawers and other things that would drive a dog wild.
Second place was snagged by a video that actually featured in YouTube UK's top ten viral advertisements, the Royal Wedding spoof from T-Mobile. With a massive 24 million views, we're not at all surprised that this video managed to make it to the most watched list as well.
'Songify This: Winning: A Song by Charlie Sheen' sneaks in at number three, with lyrics about partying, drugs and Mick Jagger.
Fourth place is the inevitable appearance from 'Nyan cat,' which has been taking the 'net by storm since April of this year. If you haven't seen it yet, let us do you a favour and warn you that there isn't much else to the video other than what you see in the first 10 seconds. Unless you want to see a cartoon cat dressed in a Poptart, flying through space and leaving a rainbow contrail in his wake, all while singing the most annoying song on the planet might we add, then feel free to move on.
Rounding out the top five is Michael Collings, from Britain's Got Talent. Skip to 2:05 for the actual singing.
