Xperia Pro to Cost £350 SIM-free; Launching This Month
Sony's Xperia Pro launching in the next few weeks.
Touchscreen phones haven’t gone out of style since the first iPhone launched in 2007. However, not everyone is into the touchy-feely experience. Some users just can’t give up their keyboards no matter what the phone or OS. Catering to this crowd is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro, which supplements the touchscreen smartphone experience with a good old fashioned hardware keyboard.
Unveiled months ago at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Xperia Pro was slightly overlooked because of the unveiling of the Xperia Play, also known as the PlayStation Phone. Several months later, the phone is now scheduled for a June launch and will be available SIM-free for a tidy price of £349.99.
Running on Andrid 2.3 (aka Gingerbread), the Xperia Pro boasts a 3.7-inch 854x480 touchscreen display, a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of onboard storage, HDMI-out, an 8 mega-pixel camera, and the Sony Bravia Graphics Engine. For those wondering, the all-important slide out QWERTY keyboard is of the landscape variety.

An exact release date is not yet known, but we do know it will hit before the end of the month, so we’ll let you know as soon as we learn more.
