Vodafone Gets the Xperia Arc S Today
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is today arriving at Vodafone.
Sony recently gave its Xperia Arc a minor upgrade in the form of the Xperia Arc S. The biggest change is that the Arc S is capable of 3D photography, while owners of the old world are stuck taking photos in plain, old 2D. The CPU has also been beefed up to 1.4GHz (compared to the 1GHz the Arc is packing).
Otherwise, the Arc S is more or less the same as the regular Arc. It boasts a 1.4GHz CPU, a 4.2-inch LED back-lit Bravia display, 512MB of RAM, up to 32GB of storage, an 8.1-megapixel camera (with that oh-so-important '3D Sweep Panorama' mode), access to the Sony Entertainment Network, WiFi, support for HDMI, USB, aGPS and Bluetooth. The whole thing runs on Google's Android 2.3 OS, also known as Gingerbread.
Today, the device hits Vodafone and is now available to customers for free on monthly plans starting at £31. If £31 is a little much for you, you can get the phone on a £26-per-month contract for £99.
