Microsoft cuts prices of five top XBL titles
Redmond (WA) - Microsoft today announced that it has cut prices on five of the best-selling Xbox Live Arcade games.
The "Arcade Hit" program is kind of similar to the Xbox’s "platinum hits" distinction, where games on the digital download service are given new, cheaper prices. The price cuts are permanent.
Microsoft says the new prices will go in effect tomorrow but their website already lists the reduced price for each affected title. Bankshot Billiards 2 and Lumines Live, both of which were originally 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) are now 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
Marble Blast Ultra, Small Arms, and Zuma Deluxe, all of which launched at a 600 Microsoft Point price, are available for 400 Microsoft Points ($5).
