Wolverhampton Wanderers Launch Mobile Network
Wolverhampton Wanderers' fans can now support their favourite premier league team by signing up for the club's new pay as you go mobile network.
Wolverhapmton Wanders this week announced that the club has become the first Barclays Premier League team to launch a branded mobile phone network. The launch of Wolves Mobile, which is a virtual network running on Orange's infrastructure, will allow fans access to exclusive deals and discounts. For example, the network is currently offering a match ticket for the Wolves v Stoke game on 17 December 2011 to anyone who buys a £10 SIM card. This offer is based on pre-orders and only available whilst stocks last.
Wolves, Head of Commercial Affairs, Paul Lakin said of the network launch: "We are delighted to offer our fans a Wolves mobile pay as you go SIM card that first and foremost provides outstanding value and network coverage. In today's climate it is essential we provide our fans with the very best products in the marketplace and I'm sure our fans will enjoy the volume of calls that can be made by purchasing Wolves mobile SIM cards."
As far as coverage is concerned, it's Orange, so you're looking at 98.8 percent of the UK. Pricewise, it's not too bad, with calls and texts for 5p (that's for calls and texts within the Wolves Mobile network). However, with data costing 11p per MB, you probably won't want to use your phone to check the score of the game or catch up on news of your favourite team. If you're calling outside of your network, expect prices of 20p/minute (25p in some cases), and 10p to 12p per text.

Say what?
This is so Mick can talk to the coaches after he's been banished to the stands (joking).
Wonder how long it will be before Chelsea and Man U launch competing networks...
