Nobel laureate gets the heave ho from board of trustees
Our favourite Nobel laureate is in trouble again.
Dr James Watson who was recently slated for making some slightly racist comments to the Sunday Times has recently lost his position at the The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Although the CSHL made it abundantly clear when Watson managed to single-handedly offend an entire continent that his comments had nothing to do with the them, it has emerged that the lab’s board of trustees has suspended the scientist.
Even though Watson apologised for the comments, Watson’s talk at the London Science Museum was cancelled, however it was understood that his lecture at the Bristol Festival of Ideas was to go ahead as planned, The Festival of Ideas has since cancelled his scheduled appearance. Along with the Edinburgh University who withdrew their invitation to talk about “DNA, Dolly and Other Dangerous Ideas : The Destiny of 21st Century Science".
