ViewSonic's ViewPad 7e Price at Just £150
ViewSonic has just officially announced its ViewPad 7e and the company promises it will launch before next Monday.
When Amazon announced the Amazon Fire and the tablet's $199 price tag in the United States, the company didn't mention anything about a Fire for UK customers. When asked, the company said that the tablet was US only 'for now' but that international versions were planned for the future. So, what are British shoppers in the market for a cheapie tablet to do in the mean time?
Just a couple of weeks ago, ViewSonic's ViewPad 10e cropped up on Amazon for £200 and it looks like the company is hell-bent on continuing the trend of cheap-as-chips tablets with its 7e. Pocket-Lint reports that the ViewPad 7e is set to launch before the end of October and will come with a price tag that reads just £149. To keep you smiling, ViewSonic is also throwing in some free apps, including Angry Birds and the Kindle reader application.
For those unaware, the ViewPad 7e boasts a 7-inch 1024 x 600 resolution display, a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB internal storage. The whole thing runs on Android 2.3, also known as Gingerbread. Those specs might not blow you away, but for the price of a subsidized phone, we say they'll do quite nicely

A lot of people don't want to sign a contract for both a phone and a tablet.
what i was thinking was a contract with unlimited tethering that also came with a cheap tablet such as this for about £35 a month, and a mid range phone such as a se arc id jump on that deal
