If you remember, earlier this month we mentioned that VIA was going whole hog into the motherboard market with no less than nine new boards . However, that may not sit so well with mobo makers who were expected to offer boards using VIA's chipset. While VIA's primary goal in releasing the motherboards was more than likely a means of giving its P4X266 DDR SDRAM chipset more penetration, the company may have irked motherboard manufacturers who may now see VIA as competition rather than a component supplier.
