New service allows you to download songs from the radio
So you’re sitting around, listening to some tunes on the wireless* when a song starts playing that you absolutely have to have.
UBC media has announced a new service, Cliq, which allow customers to download from the radio onto their computer.
Users sign up for the service by texting CLIQ to 78901. This installs the Cliq application on their mobile phone.
From then on any song that you hear on the radio (if they’re on one of the 21 participating radio stations, that is) can be tracked down and downloaded via your mobile phone, even if you don’t know the name of the track.
Handy, eh ?
*The wireless is a redundant term for a portable radio. Oh how times have changed.
