Trident Microsystems recently made a comeback into the desktop-use graphics chip market with the new XP4 T1, T2 and T3 chips, targeting the low-end to medium-range sector. Although the chips' prices are expected to be affordable, many graphics card makers said that they have not yet decided whether to adopt the solution.
