Toshiba's Thrive Tablet Arriving in UK Tomorrow
Credit cards at the ready!
Toshiba's Thrive tablet is arriving in the United Kingdom on September 1 but it won't be appearing on shop shelves under the 'Thrive' name we know so well. First seen at CES in January of this year, the Thrive launched in the United States in July. However, when the tablet appears in shops tomorrow, it will be known as the Toshiba AT100.
The AT100 is a 10-inch Android Honeycomb tablet that runs on Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 chipset and boasts a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2.1-megapixel job up front, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a full-sized USB port, HDMI, and a removable battery that promises between seven and eight hours of use. For the style-conscious, it's also available in six different colours.
Pricing isn't known just yet, but we'll keep you posted on that as well as where you'll be able to purchase this beauty, so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can see the tablet for yourself in the one-minute promo below.

Unless its less than £200 it will flop just like all the other Android bricks.
Once Android expands its app store it will be a more viable to purchase over the IPAD. Lack of flash and 4:3 aspect ratios annoying. Its a bit late to be releasing a Tegra 2 now with Tegra 3 so close though IMO.
Too thick and the bezel is too wide - I'm a stickler for aesthetics as well as spec.
@chronicbint: I think Asus would disagree with you over the success of the Transformer. It's actually pretty awesome.
Do any decent websites still use flash.....
