Toshiba Shipping 10-inch Tegra 2 Tablet to Europe
While U.S. tablet fans are focusing on the launch of the Galaxy Tab's upcoming release, European shoppers are being offered a device with a little more punch.
Toshiba's Folio 100 was announced in early September and packing Nvidia's Tegra 2, 16GB of built-in storage, SD card expansion, HDMI out, 802.11n WiFi, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and Android 2.2 (with custom Toshiba UI), it turned a lot of heads.
Today, the Folio 100 is shipping to Europe with a range of different prices. Engadget reports that Germany is getting the Folio sans 3G for €429. Those not willing to give up 3G can expect to pay €529. Italian customers are getting a slightly better deal with prices of €399 and €499, and UK buyers will be able to purchase the 3G-less model for £329 (€379).
Last we heard, the Folio 100 wouldn't be coming to the U.S. at all, but you never know, if the sales are good, Toshiba might change its mind.
