Gran Turismo 5 to offer Top Gear content
Top Gear fans who wish to test drive a car on the show’s famous test track will be able to do so with PS3 title, Gran Turismo 5.
Gran Turismo creators, Polyphony and BBC Worldwide have joined forces to allow gamers to race cars on the track which appears in episodes of the show and access Top Gear content through the Gran Turismo media service, Gran Turismo TV or GT TV.
GT TV will offer episodes of the motoring show for download from the channel via the PlayStation Network. The channel will offer forty episodes of Top Gear for download in 2008.
This isn’t the first time Gran Turismo and Top Gear have been seen together. Die hard Top Gear fans will remember Jeremy Clarkson trying to beat this Gran Turismo track time in real life. Clarkson raced a Honda NSX in the games virtual version of the Californian Laguna Seca race track and then raced a real Honda NSX on the real track.
