Tom's Hardware UK is Hiring!
Good news, we're hiring!
We're still looking for someone to adapt and produce content for Tom's Hardware UK and IRL. We've made a couple changes to the job requirements so be sure to read carefully!
- You must have a good grasp of the English language and be able to both speak and write it fluently.
- The ability to forecast article availability and work on a schedule is important too. Deadlines are fun but the noise they make when they 'WHOOSH' by, is pretty awful.
- Age-wise, we're looking for someone over the age of 18 as this is a full time position.
- Be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on price comparison engines.
- You will be producing UK content as well as adapting international content for the UK market. Not only that, but you'll be responsible for the general look and feel of Tom's UK and IRL and will report directly to the UK country manager.
-You're writing for/working with a passionate audience so it's important that you be passionate about technology. That's hardware, software and everything in between.
-Location isn't too important as the internet makes it quite easy to telecommute. However, you will be working UK hours so if you're applying from Timbuktu, know that you'll have to work all kinds of strange hours to match up with the rest of us.
If you checked all the boxes above and are interested in the job, you should apply. We're nice people to work with and you'll be writing for an audience of over 30 million readers per month. This includes IT professionals, decision-makers, influencers, tech enthusiasts, developers, gamers and consumers. What's not to like?

Damn I only speak and write bad English which rules me out on point one.
Good to see a UK editor based in the UK (what was it they said last time, southern France?!) "adapting international content for the UK market."
Looking at the Job requirements/description we may well be getting GBP and no US competitions!
In fact, I'm quite tempted to apply for this...

Do iiiiit, Mi1ez!!
Damn, I think I'd be perfect for the job. If I wasn't in college =\. I spend a lot of time comparing prices of things I cannot afford anyway.
I love the email address Contact Isabelle Dumonteil idumonteil.at.bestofmedia.dot.com its like a cheap skate that will not pay for a dating websites LOL and they try to change it to stop the website from picking up a outside mail system address so the dating website don't make money from them....
I second that statement lewis57...

The e-mail address is like that so that spam bots don't read the page, pick up the e-mail address and start sending treatments to enlarge ones genitalia. There is nothing wrong with the address itself, idumonteil for (I)sabelle(Dumonteil), and Best of Media is the group that toms hardware comes under, look at the toms hardware logo at the top left of the page.

I'll take your word for that!

We just don't like spam.
I had my shot, couldn't even find the time to write one article! You got my backing mi1ez - go for it
The public votes for Mi1ez, Get it sorted Tom's !
To be fair mi1ez hasn't once said anything retarded that I remember, which bodes well. I'm (sort of) job free and it sounds interesting but I'd probably just say something rude and upset people (Mac owners hehe) so I doubt it's my calling.

Likewise, I wound up my website for the same reason (but I did write some articles). Turned the server into a media centre. At least that way it had a function. There's no way I'd have time to write regular articles.
Sounds like a great job though. Good luck to anybody who shows an interest.
Damn, this would be a nice job for sure but i am a little bit unsure because of my English and writing skills, i am spending almost every minute of my time reading about hardware and stuff here on Tom's and other websites

"However, you will be working UK hours so if you're applying from Timbuktu, know that you'll have to work all kinds of strange hours to match up with the rest of us."
Timbuktu is in the same time zone as the UK - it's in Mali, Western Africa.

I think you should apply!
I think fact checking is the limit of my editorial ability.
Can I link to these lovely testimonials if I apply?
Can I link to these lovely testimonials if I apply?
Of course! I've even mentioned it to the powers that be.
Im only 17 but i do know a lot about hardware and software, i like the website very much and try my best to keep up with the latest gossip. im self-educating myself about computers and have come along way with it. My English is good but i font think i would be good at publishing articles but if you have any other jobs which i could get involved i would love to do voluntarily.
thanks Connor
I just emailed them. It's still French...
At least you got a reply.
Tom's fail.
