Scientology video featuring Tom Cruise is leaked to the net
Oh dear, poor old Tom Cruise is a but miffed at a video that’s been leaked onto the internet.
The Mission Impossible actor did a little piece on Scientology 4 years ago. A nine minute edited version of the video (complete with Mission Impossible sound track) has since appeared on the internet for all to see. The original was reportedly shown in front of 5,000 members of the church of Scientology and their guests.
In the video Tom is quoted as saying,
“A scientologist has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions”,
"Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident it’s not like anyone else. As you drive past, you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help."
"We are the authorities on getting people off drugs, we are the authorities on the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions... we can rehabilitate criminals... we can bring peace and unite communities."
The video has been removed from YouTube but our valiant friends at Gawker are still hosting the video.
“Gawker is now hosting a copy of the video ; it’s newsworthy ; and we will not be removing it.”
Andrew Morton, recently named Tom Cruise as the second most important person in Scientology in an unofficial biography. This little statement was not received well by Cruise and his lawyer said in a statement that the book was full of “tired old lies”.
Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes, are some of the more famous members of the Church of Scientology.

I would believe the intentions of the religion more if the founder of the religion wasn't quoted as saying 'the best way to make money is to form a religion'
