TiVo has announced that its revenue targets for Q2 of 2002 will double from their earlier projections of $10-$12 million to $23-24 million. The increase in revenue is in part due to licensing and services revenue of an additional $12 million received as part of a licensing deal with Sony Electronics and Toshiba. TiVo provides customizable viewing and recording services for television programs using digital video recorders.
