Cat uncovers stash of child pornography
A woman from Austin Texas was shocked when her cat discovered the previous owners stash of child pornography.
The woman had recently moved into her new apartment when she noticed that her fuzzy friend could squeeze his head into a hole in the wall between the ceiling and the pantry.
The woman’s friend reached inside the hole only to uncover a several DVDs of child pornography. The woman turned the discs over to the the apartment managers who in turn, contacted the police.
Texas police were able to track the DVDs to the apartments previous owner, 24 year old Luis Jimenez.
Jimenez lived in the apartment with his girlfriend until August 2007. When questioned, Luis admitted he had downloads the material from the internet without his girlfriend’s knowledge.
Luis is facing a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Police believe Jimenez forgot about the stash when moving out of the apartment.
Bail is set at $40,000.
