T-mobile launch latest handset
Bellevue (WA) - T-Mobile has announced its latest phone, the Shadow, which it says is the first in a new series of communication-centric handsets.
Set to launch on Wednesday, the Shadow has an enhanced "MyFaves" tool that allows users to send any form of message - text, instant, e-mail, photo, video, or voice - with a single button press from the phone’s menu.
It also comes with Windows Mobile 6, Microsoft’s newest cell phone operating system, and a two megapixel digital camera. T-Mobile says the Shadow will also have one of the largest screens available in its repertoire.
Additionally, it includes Wi-Fi and Edge Internet capabilities, an all-in-one address book for storing multiple forms of contact info, and standard applications like memos and date reminders.
T-Mobile says the Shadow will become a new franchise name for the company, and it will be its main series for handsets that specialize in enhanced messaging features.
"We’re calling the new line of devices ‘Shadow’ because they’re designed to help people stay effortlessly connected with those who are closest to them," said T-Mobile CEO Robert Dotson.
