Details of Steven Spielberg Wii game announced
Redwood City (CA) - The first solid details of Steven Spielberg’s foray into the console gaming market have come forth, as Boom Blox for the Wii is now officially on tap for a spring 2008 release.
Spielberg forged a partnership with Electronic Arts last year to bring his creative mind to the world of video games. Boom Blox will be his first project. Described as a "family-friendly" puzzle game, it will have a single-player mode as well as cooperative and head-to-head multiplayer modes.
A vague description of the game from EA says that Blox will revolve around players constructing and knocking down sets of blocks.
As part of Spielberg’s newfound focus on the gaming market, he is also working on a more epic adventure game for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Boom Blox has been given a release date of May 6.
