Steve Ballmer Could Speak at Apple's WWDC
So here's a crazy rumor for your Thursday enjoyment.
Next month, Apple's WWDC is taking place in California. We know there'll be a new iPhone, which is probably the biggest and most interesting thing that will happen there. Unfortunately, due to a stolen and/or lost and then sold iPhone 4G, it's not that much of a surprise anymore. However, WWDC is not just about a new iPhone, and apparently, there could be a very special guest there from Microsoft.
Tech Trader Daily cites Trip Chowdhry, an analyst with tiny Global Equities Research, who believes that 7 minutes of the June 7 Steve Jobs keynote has been blocked reserved for a Microsoft speech detailing Visual Studio 2010. That's noteworthy in its own right, but Trip also says that the speech could be given by none other than CEO Steve Ballmer.
Chowdhry says the new version of VS will allow developers to write native applications for the iPhone, iPad and Mac OS, and goes on to say that if the presentation isn't given by Steve Jobs, Bob Muglia, who runs Microsoft’s server and tools business, will be there instead.
