Star Trek urn, casket announced
Eternal Image, a company that specializes in brand name funerary products, said that it will be offering Star Trek branded urns and caskets by the end of this year. The company will offer initially an urn that “is reminiscent of the 24th century styling of the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet.”
In 2008, the company plans to introduce a casket that uses design elements of the “Photon Torpedo” design seen in Star Trek II : The Wrath of Kahn. Prices have not been announced.
If the voyages of the starship Enterprise and its five-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no man has gone before is not the theme you would like to surround yourself on your final journey, then there are other options : Eternal Image also offers caskets and urns styled for baseball fans, Precious Moments collectors, as well as pet urns for dogs and cats.
The company also offers more traditional products in its “Vatican Library Collection”.
