4 Graphics Cards – Ready for SLI and Crossfire
by
Bert Toepelt
The Skulltrail system is designed for two CPUs on the one hand and up to four graphics cards on the other, allowing multi-card configurations such as Nvidia’s SLI or ATI’s Crossfire.
Using two powerful graphics cards in the Skulltrail system also means you’ll need a power supply with four 6-pin auxiliary power cables. Consequently, you’ll need six such cables for three cards. Even many of the pricier PSUs found in stores only sport four PCI-Express power cables, forcing you to use two adapter cables with a three-way SLI system.
