Images and details of Shuttle's upcoming DS47 system have arrived.

Shuttle, a manufacturer known for making small PCs and barebones, has released a new passively cooled system. It will be called the DS47, and will be announced during the upcoming Computex from June 4 through June 8, 2013.

Packing an Intel Celeron 847 CPU and a NM70-chipset, the device should work as a basic media center. The CPU will be clocked at 1.1 GHz and carry a built in HD2000 graphics chip. As is the standard, the unit won't carry any memory, but buyers have the option of filling the two DDR3 slots with two 8 GB DIMMs, creating a total of 16 GB of DDR3 memory. Users can also plug in SSDs to the mSATA slots.

External connectivity is achieved by using four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, two COM ports, a card reader, two Gbit Ethernet ports, an HDMI port, and a headphone and microphone jack.

The entire system measures 200 x 165 x 39.5 mm and weighs just 2.05 kg. Furthermore, it has a built in VESA mount for mounting behind monitors.

So far, there has been no official word on pricing, but we can expect a price of around $200.
