Shin-Etsu Handotai to boost 12" silicon wafer capacity

Leading silicon wafer supplier Shin-Etsu Chemical will invest 10 billion yen to expand 12" wafer production capacity at subsidiary Shin-Etsu Handotai (Taiwan), reported Nihon Keizai Shimbun . Monthly production will be raised from the current 75,000 wafers to 100,000 wafers early next year.
