Omid has posted a new entry in his blog and spends some time to discuss AMD’s move to filing an antitrust complaint against Intel. So, is AMD’s claim that Intel uses pricing pressures as predatory weapon and taking the company to court a desperate or a brilliant move ?
In business, the law is a weapon. It is, in some ways, a weapon of last resort. If your customers don’t pay you, you don’t want to take them to court unless you have to because, it is a costly and debilitating process. It shows that you have run out of negotiating options. If you have contractual problems with partners, you don’t go to court until you are ready to damage the relationship and suffer the consequences.
