Sandisk introduces 8GB JEDEC-compatible iNAND
Today at the ongoing 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, Sandisk introduced a new version if its iNAND embedded flash drive (EFD), which the company says is compatible with a standard issued by the JC-64.1 subcommittee of the JEDEC Solid State Technology Association (formerly known as the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council), the semiconductor engineering standardization body of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA). The JEDEC JC-64.1 subcommittee covers standardization of electrical interface specifications for non-volatile memory cards and modules.
