Almost a third of time Britons spend online is accounted for by the over 50s. So why shouldn’t we give them another way to wheedle away more of their precious years ?
Saga Zone which was created by the holiday and insurance company launches today and is aimed specifically at the over fifties.
Saga Zone has been running on a trial basis for the last four months and has seen 13,000 members sign up for the chance to talk about entering the second half of their century on earth.
Although sites like Friends Reunited and other friend finders have proved popular among our tech-savvy elders, creators of Saga Zone felt that parents were missing out on the social networking boom that is taking the internet and young people by storm.
Saga Zone reportedly has 100 new users registering every day with the most popular topic on the forums being the threads and posts which are health related. Among topics discussed are specific treatments for arthritic pain relief and psoriasis, advice on coping with hip or knee replacements and how to give up smoking. Saga Zone also offers older people tips on getting over the loss of a partner or loved one.
The oldest registered member of Saga Zone is 87 years old.

I did ACTUALLY think it was called Sega Zone at first- I thought to myself "No, that can't be right..." but then I looked at the third paragraph, which seemingly confirmed Sega, and was a bit miffed. Saga being a famous company that loves our older friends.
By the 4th paragraph the typo was sorted.
Was this a little gag? Are THG writers presuming they must be writing Sega? Are their fingers doing the thinking?
So many questions...
Haha, I guess I just love Sega a little too much. Should be all fixed now. : )
