Harmonix release Rock Band expansions before it releases Rock Band
Los Angeles (CA) - Harmonix’s much talked about game Rock Band isn’t even out yet, and already it is announcing additional tracks you’ll be able to buy for $2 a pop.
Rock Band is scheduled for release next week. It capitalizes on the success of games like Guitar Hero, Karaoke Revolution, and DrumMania by rolling them all into one.
It will be the first game to allow players to have simultaneous control of two guitars, a drum set, and a singer. All beats and lyric cues will show up on the same screen. The entire bundle including one guitar, the drum set, and a microphone is priced at around $170.
The game comes packed with a few dozen songs, but Harmonix and publisher MTV Games will also be releasing additional songs through the Playstation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.
Harmonix today provided its entire rollout of supplemental songs to be added to the download services over the next month . Each track is around $1 - $2. The complete list is as follows.
