Fans pirate Radiohead's already free album
Radiohead made serious waves earlier this month when they announced that the band’s latest album, upon it’s release, would be only available through download from the website.
The band also announced that for the first time, fans could name their price for the album, paying little or nothing for the new songs, or paying as much as £99.
After the band’s record deal with EMI music expired, Radiohead decided to cut out the middle man, distribute the music themselves, without a record company and retain all revenue from record sales.
However, the fact that you can get the music for free hasn’t stopped people from illegally downloading or pirating the music instead of getting it from the band’s website.
Reports show that over 200,000 people downloaded the album illegally on the first day of the albums release, with an estimated 100,000 daily since then.
Forbes has estimated that the number of illegal downloads will soon surpass the number of legal downloads from the Radiohead site.

I know people who where going to download the album through the website and pay something for it. But because the website was so busy the quickest way to use bit torrent. If there wasnt a que they would have bought it. A great idea with poor execution.
