Quicklogic and TSMC in talks on 130 nm production

Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) supplier Quicklogic is negotiating a foundry partnership with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for the 0.13-micron node, according to QuickLogic chairman, president and CEO E Thomas Hart during a product presentation in Taipei recently. Already placing a majority of 0.25- and 0.35-micron production at TSMC, Hart indicated that the company is now in talks with the foundry on extending the orders to 0.13-micron as well.
