Qimonda To Introduce GDDR To 58 Nm Production By 2009

Having set a goal of a 30% share in the graphics DDR (GDDR) market, Qimonda is gearing up its pace to advance production process, with 58nm production slated to begin by 2009. Ken Su, senior marketing manager of graphics department at Qimonda Taiwan, indicated that Qimonda is having half of its GDDR fabricated on 70nm, and that the company will move to 58nm production by 2009 in order to shrink costs further.
