The Rumble Strips and We Are Scientists to perform at Play.com Live
Wembley Stadium is set to rock to the sounds of some of the UK’s best new bands at Play.com Live.
The lifestyle entertainment event is due to take place on the 15th and 16th of this month. The aim of Play.com Live is to give people the chance to try out the latest computer games and watch some of the UK’s hottest new acts.
Gemma Atkinson (ex-Hollyoaks and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here !) and Virgin Radio presenter, Iain Lee, will host the two-day event, which will include performances from Elliot Minor, The Rumble Strips, We Are Scientists and You Me At Six.
Aside from that you’ve got your fair share of music, TV and sporting personalities throughout the weekend. Jamie Cullum, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and what looks like half the English rugby team will all be enjoying the show from onstage.
All the major video games companies, including Sega, Electronic Arts (EA), Activision, Microsoft, THQ and Ubisoft will be showcasing their hits for 2008 and new releases such as LEGO Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters, Condemed 2, Sega Superstar Tennis, Rock Band, Soul Calibur IV and DeBlob will all be on hand for the public to have a bash.
Tickets for the event are a reasonable £6 per adult and £3 for children, which will gain you entry for a morning or afternoon. Alternatively, a VIP weekend ticket will set you back a still fairly decent £16.
Tickets are available from Play.com
