Atom Pine Trail Machines Show Up on KND Wesbite
Bolstering reports that Intel's Pine Trail processor will be launched at CES in January, Chinese company KND has several Pine Trail-powered machines listed on its website.
At first there doesn't seem to be much of interest going on in the selection of run of the mill, Atom-powered netbooks and nettops with fairly average specs. That is, until you get to the specific model of Atom processor, the dual core 1.66GHz, low power Atom D510, otherwise known as the as-yet-unreleased Pine Trail.
This follows August reports that quoted MSI as saying Intel would launch the platform at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this coming January. While there's no official release date for the KND machines, the fact that they're live on the site means we likely won't have to wait long.
Specs-wise you're looking at an 18.5-inch all-in-one nettop which reportedly packs a 250GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM, a DVD-ROM, and built in WiFi. Liliputing reports that the company is also working on 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch netbooks with the former boasting 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, VGA, Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 3 USB ports and optional 3G or Bluetooth. The 13.3-inch model is said to house similar specs.
