As stated by the Semiconductor Business News, the official debut of Intel Corp.'s Pentium 4 microprocessor line brought few, if any, surprises. Still, it is the flagship of the world's biggest chip maker and cannot, therefore, be ignored. The same SBN story points out that the very future of Intel, under scrutiny after a series of missteps this year, is riding on the P4.
