VOTW: Calling Tech Support Over Google Pacman
Suffice to say the majority of people enjoyed Google's Pac-Man doodle a few weeks ago. Collectively we wasted tons of what could have been productive hours playing the classic game on the Google homepage. Unfortunately, not everyone was so impressed.
One woman called tech support because she was so frustrated by the noise. When she was told, "It'll be gone tomorrow," she asked if there was no way she could switch it off. The lady said she didn't have any friends who knew about computers so she had no one to ask. After the tech support agent walked her through how to close the Google homepage tab without closing everything else, she asked if they had gotten many Pac-man related calls. I can't tell if she was surprised or embarrassed to hear she was the first.

Shocking
Seriously shocking.
Shocking Seriously shocking.
Nothing Seriously shocking about it.
The old lady wasn't computer literate and had to call tech support. Not everyone is a PC Whiz, cut her some slack.
hardly, I work for a company supporting home users, and we had LOADS of people ringing asking what the odd noise was.
lets face it, she is dumb, no dought about it, but she is kinda right... for people who didnt know wtf that was it was kinda annoying... my mother came to ask me why the computer was playing music so... lol they could have added a mute button which should be on by default, but if you wanted you could turn on the sound o_O
I feel like in the mood for some flaming...

She was probably using iPad!
