PS Move Precise Enough to Control StarCraft
Sony has said the company's newly launched PlayStation Move peripheral is precise enough to play StarCraft on the PC.
Last week at GDC, Sony introduced Move and in a number of demos showed off just how Move worked. Among the little tidbits revealed during the demos by PlayStation researcher, Anton Mikhailov, and platform research manager, David Coombes, was that the peripheral uses just 2MB of system memory.
Kotaku reports that while demoing just how precise and accurately the Move can capture movements, Mikhailov said that they've been able to use the PlayStation 3 add-on as a device to control the PC version of StarCraft.
Do you think the precision of Move will be an important selling point for the device or do you think more people will buy it for casual gaming? Let us know in the comments below!

I routinely hit home runs in Wii baseball simply by dropping my wrist, yet treat the Wiimote as a proper bat and I'm inconsistent.
That's just bullshit and the entire reason why the Wii is a toy (however much I enjoy Super Mario Galaxy).
So, if Move is really going to be that sensitive and accurate the game developers can take full advantage and create some seriously realistic and immersive software, not just superficial casual games.
I guess it's all going to come down to what software comes out - the potential for serious stuff is there.
i think they mean its precise enought as a precision pointing device to control the mouse etc, i found the wii remote to be quite precise enought when playing games like metroid prime 3 (which is an epic showcase for this type of controller and FPS games)aslong as you have steady enought hands anyway.
I'm just stoked to find that the device is compatible with the PC.

But whether Sony release the drivers to the general public upon launch remains to be seen - linking up to a PC is purely for development purposes and to demo this level of sensitivity. I really doubt it'll be released as a PC peripheral.

But someone out there will develop third party PC drivers for it!
Just imagine some wii emulation with upsampled HD graphics and using this device to almost upgrade the entire wii setup to the next level! That'd be something, here's hoping.
Yep, and then the Sony anti-fun / you-cant-have-any police will kick in his door.
