First F.E.A.R. 3 Screens Released
WBIE released ten tasty screens yanked from the upcoming PC game F.E.A.R. 3.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) has finally launched a batch of screenshots from the upcoming game F.E.A.R. 3. Slated for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC, the upcoming third installment is expected to hit retail shelves sometime during Fall 2010. As reported earlier, Monolith Studios passed the development baton over to Day 1 Studios, and will receive additional help from famed horror movie director John Carpenter and horror comic and script writer Steve Niles.
"Alma returns in F.E.A.R. 3 but this time her sons Point Man and Paxton Fettel are characters available to play in divergent co-op, giving players distinctly different abilities affecting their own play as well as the experience of their co-op partner," reads the product description. "Gamers participate in single player or co-op modes as Point Man, and they can play cooperatively as his conniving brother Paxton Fettel whose incredible telekinetic power has given him life beyond the grave."
WBIE also released a new trailer focusing on the "twisted and paranormal" Paxton Fettel character. The clip also provides some gameplay footage and a glimpse into the game's overall storyline. Since the video requires an age gate, we can't post it here, however curious gamers can head here to get the full onslaught.

They should look to the original for inspiration since that was an amazing game. FEAR 2 felt like a COD clone, which is a shame. I'm going to get this game but after FEAR 2 I will probably be dissapointed. As for graphics the FEAR 2 looked damn fine on PC so I hope they just use a beefed up version of that engine.
Should now focus on completing the first two.
I expect this to be even less creepy than the second, which would be disappointing.
I won't be buying it.
Loved the first, liked the second. I hope this will contain more of the edgy FEAR of the first though. Also hope they dont make it a crappy port of a console version complete with that looking through a letter box perspective console games are plagued with. Really looking forward to this.

Sadly they might make it a crappy console version and lumber us with the resulting port of an engine design to be able to run well on a 400 Euro Xbox 360. I really really hope not. Hoping for state of the art FEAR induced paranoia when this comes out too. Not some old trash port designed to run on already limited hardware platform.
