Orange Launches Two New Budget Androids

by - source: TechRadar

Orange has two new entry-level Androids in its army.

Orange today unveiled the Orange Monte Carlo, a mid-range Android handset that boasts a 4.3-inch display and Gingerbread. However, for those looking for a something a little more low-end (and don't count Gingerbread as a necessity), the company has also debuted two more phones: the Orange Barcelona and Orange Stockholm.

We first got word of the Orange Barcelona back in the beginning of June. Now on sale, the Barcelona is manufactured by Huawei, and boasts Android 2.2, a 2.6-inch TFT touchscreen display, a full portrait QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera, support for video capture, video calling, HD voice, 3G and an FM radio. It's priced at £100 on PAYG and £10-per-month on contract.

As far as the Stockholm is concerned, it's actually cheaper, with pricing set at £80. Again, you're looking at Android 2.2, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, MP3 player and FM radio. According to TechRadar there's no contract option for this device, so you'll have to be willing to pony up the £80 for the PAYG model.

Any takers?
