The LG Optimus GK features the Optimus G's features set in a smaller 5" package.
LG’s new Optimus GK can be considered to be the Optimus G’s smaller sibling, as it also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080. What separates the two devices is that, while the Optimus G features a 5.5” phablet display, the GK features a 5” IPS panel that yields an impressive pixel density of 441 ppi.
Also included with the smartphone is a micro-SHDC slot, 13 megapixel primary camera paired with a front 2 megapixel camera, a rather large 3,100 mAH battery, and LG’s skinned version of Android 4.1.
The Optimus GK is currently available as an exclusive for Korea Telecom, but it could be launched contract-free in Korea in the near future and a wider international launch is also quite likely.
