Wonder if they've broken anything else...
^ Yea... ATi fanboi's hope, of seeing a company make crappier drivers than their own
FYI, I've been using Nvidia GPU's for years, still do as a matter of fact. But when the Team Green release two broken driver updates in a row, even the die-hard Nvidia fan starts asking questions.

there was 196.75 and what else ?
The previous one (think it was 196.21) broke overclocking functionality.

196.21 are fine now. It's on the Nvidia page. I'm using them and I haven't faced any problems with EVGA Precision oc profiles.
Yes, but the point is they were broken and had to be fixed, so that's two major driver releases in a row that have had problems.

I know, not supporting their mistakes, but atlest it's tons better than what ATi has done with their drivers. I don't know about u, but i don't lose trust that easily... lol if that had been the case, i'd have boycotted ATi completely.
I can't really comment on that, since I've only once had a Radeon and that was years ago. My primary reason for wanting to switch to ATi now would be that they sell cards with great performance at very decent prices. I could take the 5770 for example, which would completely bury my old 8800GTS performance-wise, yet draws less power AND has DX11 plus Eyefinity. What are my equivalent options from Nvidia at the moment? Ehhh... nothing.
Good if u have an old gen card much like the 8800GTS. However, not so much for me for two reasons
1) My GTX 275 still beats the 5770.
2) 5770 64 bit Win 7 drivers are still quite the biggest pain in the A$$ at times. Ofcourse many work properly, but alot.. i repeat, alot have had issues with it. You should probably consider that too.

Fair, and in your case you would be well within your rights to stick to the GTX275. No sense in swapping one high-performance card for another one. In my case, I'm looking at the upgrade options and to my shock I find that Nvidia aren't my first choice anymore, even though every card I've owned for the last 8-10 years has been an Nvidia. Times they are a-changing..

I guess yea, but i suggest you wait a bit.. for fermi.. prices will inevitably drop on the ATi cards and the drivers will get more mature/stable overtime too. Just a thought.
Precisely what I plan to do. :-)
