Intel Corp. will reduce prices on mobile Celeron and Pentium II processors this week by up to 43 percent.
The company is making way for several new mobile offerings that will ship later this fall, including a 433MHz Celeron chip and its first Mobile Pentium III chips.
Existing mobile Pentium II chips with ball grid array packaging have been cut up to 41 percent. The 400MHz Pentium II chip was reduced about 32 percent to $358, while the 366MHz Pentium II was lowered 41 percent to $187.
