Espoo (Finland) - Just days after announcing its acquisition of Navteq, Nokia has partnered up with Renault to bring its newly branded navigational equipment to cars.

Renault, a European auto manufacturer, will bring Nokia on board in its latest line of Twingo vehicles. The Twingo Nokia will include a Nokia 6110 phone with built-in navigation technology, beginning October 29 in France.

"Navigation is a new and fast growing industry and we are also looking for new ways to operate there. Co-operation of Nokia and a car industry is a natural step," said Nokia spokesperson Eija-Riitta.

Earlier this week, Nokia purchased navigation tech company Navteq for $8.1 billion, Nokia’s costliest acquisition and the biggest of its kind for any Finnish company.

Other countries planned for initial rollout are Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Slovenia. Prices will start at around 12,000 euros ($17,000).
