Nokia announces service, which offers unlimited music for 12 months

London (England) - Nokia today announced the introduction of "Comes with Music," a new service that allows users to download an unlimited amount of music for free for 12 months.

Nokia’s flagship partner for the music service is Universal. This means users will have 12 months in which to listen to, download, and archive as many tracks from Universal as they please, without paying an extra fee.

After the 12 months, users can continue to use Comes with Music for an as-yet-undefined subscription fee, but will be able to retain access to any songs downloaded during the free period.

The move comes as Nokia’s latest attempt to create momentum for the mobile music market. Previously it has offered only basic and spotty music services. With competition from Sprint’s music store and of course Apple’s iPhone with iTunes integration, the market is finally beginning to open up.
