Nintendo recognises another Jedi dream on the Wii (You know what it's about...)
We thought all our dreams had come true when Lego : Star Wars for the Wii meant virtual lightsaber battles. We were wrong. . .
Nintendo has only gone and recognised another one of our dreams : A real Wii lightsaber.
The lightsaber (I’d say toy, but it’s not a toy. It’s a commodity), is available for preorder from Play.com as we speak.
The sword retails at £14.99 / €23.49 and uses 22 LED lights* to provide us with that all important glow. The power up and power down are gradual so no on-off sudden glare, either.
Nintendo seem to have thought of everything this time. The sword doesn’t come with whooshy noise but we’ve come to the conclusion that this is for the best. Isn’t the whoaming and whooshing yourself the most fun part ? Start practicing, Star Wars : The Force Unleashed is set for a Spring release.
*Please don’t forget to buy batteries (3 AAAs). We don’t want any tears come Christmas morning.
