Nintendo re-release Super Mario Bros 3
Redmond (WA) - The game many consider to be the best Nintendo title of all time is now available in its umpteenth release, on the Virtual Console.
Super Mario Bros 3 was the final Mario platformer released on the NES and has come to be the pillar of Mario titles. It was reincarnated on the Super NES and then again on the Game Boy Advance.
The Virtual Console version is the original, classic NES title, which has never been purely re-released until now.
The complementary titles added to the Virtual Console this week are Alien Soldier for the Sega Genesis, and Power Golf for the Turbografx 16. Alien Soldier is priced at 900 Wii Points ($9), higher than the standard Genesis price of 800 Wii Points. Power Golf is set at 600 Wii Points ($6).
The availability of Super Mario Bros 3 is promoted as a prelude to the release of the Wii’s Super Mario Galaxy, which ships to stores next week.
