LEAKED: Acer's 15-inch Dual Touchscreen Laptop
Ooh, lookey what we have here.
If you were a fan of Microsoft's axed dual-screen tablet, the Courier, then we have a treat for you. Acer is apparently planning a similar product, but with laptop specs. The picture below was sent to The Tech Review and shows a 15-inch laptop that's supposedly in development at Acer.
Specswise, it's not clear what this bright-eyed boy has got going on under the hood. All we know is that both multitouch displays measure in at 15 inches and the machine runs on a Core i5 clocked to 2.67GHz and Microsoft Windows 7.
There is no physical keyboard or trackpad, with the bottom touchscreen serving as both, and the laptop will let you 'swap' screens if that tickles your fancy. No word on price or release, but we'll keep you posted.

Very nice to see this type of product making a comeback, they certainly do look interesting but the touch screens won't really work well with Win 7 as its not really a touch friendly OS, it would be really good if MS did something about this.

Apparently Apple have something similar to this in the works, so when the adverts come on saying how revolutionary it is we can face-palm and point to this
Does look kindof cool, a little progression on form factor/styling and i will so want one ..

I agree win7 is not perfect for touch, but i quite like windows as is ...i jsut hope that the touch isnt one of them apple kind's that you cannot use with a glove or need a "special" (with a lisp) stylus for it to work... i much rather use the other version liek on my n900 ..less responsive yes, but more friendly and worth developing imo
Wow, I won't be able to destroy it by spilling some lager in the keyboard! Excellent.
