Tablet Packs Windows 7, Core i7, and Hefty Price

By - Source: Tom's Hardware UK

Who needs an iPad when you can have one of these babies for just four times the price?

Still, for some people, money is no object, and for them, we have the Motion Computing J3500, which packs Intel's Core i7 processor, an ultra durable exterior (with the same Gorilla Glass as the iPhone 4) and Windows 7.

Full specs include a 12.1-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and dual pen and touch input; the choice of either Core i5 or Core i7; a 160GB HDD or a 64GB or 128GB SSD; up to 4GB of RAM; a 3-megapixel camera and Windows 7 Professional. Geared towards industries like construction and health care, the J3500 also meets all MIL-STD-810G and IP-52 ratings to ensure protection against bumps, drops, rain, and other nasty conditions you wouldn't dream of subjecting your precious iPad to.

Ready for the price? It starts at $2,299. If you can afford it, it's available through Motion Computing's Channel Resources page.

    4 times the price....

yeah, but that's for an actual computer as opposed to a children's toy.

iPad is to J3500 as LeapPad is to Macbook.
