VIDEO: Modern Warfare 2 Spread to Six Screens

by - source: Tom's Hardware US

We've seen examples of ATI's Eyefinity technology before but we have not seen it used to play Modern Warfare 2 across six displays.

Most of us can't afford a set up like this at home, so we'll have to make do with the video below. But don't be too sad! The silver lining is that it's nearly time for MW2 DLC. Xbox users will be getting it first (tomorrow) and the pack contains three new maps and two old ones from COD4, but PC and PS3 gamers should get their Mapathy cures before too long.

Make it 9 screens so you can see what your aiming at really.

I don't care if they have 12 screens. Unless they can get uber-thin bezels or no bezel at all screens. I really can't stand it like looking through a window ( the ones with crosses in the center IYKWIM )

I agree with Mojito here. I really wouldn't like having black stripes on my screen, no matter how big the field of view becomes. I'd much prefer either a single big screen or a projector.

6x HD projectors and a fking big wall!

Yeah, when I win the lottery perhaps...

Absolutely true...... although it's good in concept it's impossible to play while looking through the window panes. Terrible........ don't know how reviewers laud this.

to all of you who say that it looks like a window, frameless screens are available in the market if you haven't heard...

Closest I found was this link

Samsung to Make Eyefinity Monitor
(Link article date 10th Sept 2009)

It just has a thin bezel - and its not that thin either :(

Yeah the 3 screens setup is much better with todays larage bezel! Get rid of it and 6 will be anything but a big waste of money.

I'll wait for 9 screens, I can't stand having the target under the borderline all the time

I think eyefinity is a great concept, but todays television technology isn't ready for it imo. I don't like the bezel. I'd prefer 60" Tv ha.

i guess the only solution will be to get 6 monitors and pull them apart.
strip down the caseing, and some how bolt them all together :-)

I really don't get the point of this... My Full HD 52" LED beats this hands down.

I think the difference is the resolution... every one of those monitors is working at full resolution, which adds up to way more pixels then full HD.

Still blows to have 6 monitors... can't see s***.

3 monitors is better, or a 52" LED tv ;)

Impressive technology, but I believe three screens is definitely still the sweet spot for multi-monitor setups. At least that way you get no bezel to distract the primary viewing area with ample space on the other two to provide peripheral vision to help give that sense of immersion - especially welcome in first person based games like FPS and flight sims.
