Suda 51 Wants to Make Bloodiest Social Game Ever
Suma 51 is working on the bloodiest social game ever developed for the Android-based social game platform Mobage.
Famitsu reports that Grasshopper Manufacture's Suda 51 is currently working on a social title that could be deemed as the bloodiest social game ever conceived.
While speaking at a press conference on Monday, Suda admitted that he's currently working on a new No More Heroes title for the Android-based mobile social network platform, Mobage. He's pushing to make this new installment the bloodiest social game ever developed. In fact, he wants to see how far he can push the gore boundaries in a social environment.
"We're aiming to make it the social game with the most blood," Suda said.
Suda added that he wants the new No More Heroes title to not only have enough "power" and "impact," but be accepted oversees. Suda also claimed that he has around 100 social game concepts he's working on, and hopes to release each one at a time. But for right now he's focused on releasing the unnamed No More Heroes title sometime this Winter.
Suda is one of many developers who signed on to create games for DeNA's upcoming Mobage social platform. The company, who also owns developer Ngmoco, said it has also signed up Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, former Sonic Team head Yuji Naka and his new studio Probe, Yoshifumi Hashimoto of Marvelous Entertainment, Crafts & Meister's Noritaka Funamizu and former Capcom development head Keiji Inafune.
According to Monday’s announcements, Yuji Naka is currently working on an adventure game, and Yoshifumi Hashimoto is working on a Harvest Moon title that will use real weather and seasonal information in-game. Noritaka Funamizu is working on a title called Nama-ge and Keiji Inafune is developing a game called J.J. Rockets.
All of the games revealed on Monday will be published by AQ Interactive.
So what's Mobage? Here's a brief description: "DeNA’s Mobage social entertainment network will give developers access to a suite of features to enhance their mobile and social games, including a shared currency, a virtual goods bank system, plus a payment API, advertising management and analytics tools."
Last week Ngmoco announced that four casino-themed titles are slated to launch on Android via the Mobage gaming platform including Mobage Blackjack, a brand new game by Freeverse, Texas Poker from KAMAGAMES, Solitaire from MobilityWare and Vegas: Strip City from Astro Ape. Ngmoco said that over 100 games are currently in development for the new social platform.
